Riya loved drawing, but her favorite pencil had become very short. One day, she looked at it and said, “You’re too small now. I need a new pencil.”
The little pencil wished it could speak. It wanted to say, “I may be small, but I can still create beautiful things.”
The next day, Riya could not find her new pencil, so she picked up the old one. It drew a bright rainbow, a happy family, and a colorful garden. Riya smiled as she looked at her drawing.
“I was wrong,” she said. “What matters is not how big you are, but how well you do your job.”
From that day on, Riya used every pencil until it could write no more. She learned that even small things can make a big difference when they are used with care.
Moral: Never give up. Your true value comes from what you do, not from how big or new you are.
